playPROMPTS - what are playprompts? Activity cards to help children learn through play!

All about playPROMPTS...

What are playPROMPTS?

PlayPROMPTS are activity cards powered by play!
All packs of playPROMPTS contain realistic activities, with minimum prep and maximum play for the kids! We are super proud that every pack is printed in Bristol,UK using FSC certified paper.

Buying for an older baby?

The baby playPROMPTS are perfect for babies during their first year of development and you will get plenty of use out of them even after their first birthday.

Original playPROMPTS or A-Z of playPROMPTS?

Many people find it hard to choose between these two packs. They work in very different ways so really it’s what suits you and how you want to use them. The original playPROMPTS provide simple ideas you can set up for your young child to play with. However, the A-Z of playPROMPTS are slightly different as they contain photocards. Let your child be inspired by the photographs and choose what they want to play, and don’t worry! On the reverse of every photo, there are instructions and tips for the grownups!

Buying for siblings?

This can be tricky as we all know children develop at their own pace. I would always suggest choosing a pack of playPROMPTS most suitable for the youngest child. This allows you to create an activity safe for them to engage in yet I am sure the eldest will still want to join in, or they will have their own ideas how to adapt the activity to make it suit their interests!

What age do the packs go up to?

The best thing about play is that there is no upper age limit! Big kids love to play too, sometimes they just need to be reminded of their love of play! PlayHOORAY! specialises in baby and young child development but that won’t stop older children wanting to get involved too. I have received fan mail from parents of 8, 9 and 10 year olds enjoying the playPROMPTS activities, so it’s certainly worth a try!

What if I want to support a particular skill?

This is the very reason why the mini packs of playPROMPTS were developed. Many parents, carers and educators wanted to support a young child in their care develop a particular skill, so what better way than play? PlayHOORAY! now offers a wide range of mini packs of playPROMPTS to cater for different themes of play or to support key skills in young child development.
